About the School

Chembur Karnatak High School is managed by Chembur Karnataka Sangha. It is a co-educational institution imparting education through English medium from Pre-Primary to Junior College and Kannada medium from Standard VIII to X.

The school prepares students for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board, focusing on academic achievement, discipline, and holistic development.

General Rules

  • Students must strictly follow all school rules and regulations.
  • School uniform is compulsory on working days and school functions.
  • Absence is permitted only for genuine reasons with written intimation.
  • Long leave requires prior written permission from the Head.
  • Damage to school property must be compensated.
  • English or Kannada must be spoken as applicable.
  • Students must carry the School Calendar daily.

Uniform & Conduct

Prescribed uniforms must be worn at all times. Slippers are not permitted. Students are expected to maintain cleanliness, discipline, and proper behavior within the school premises.

Irregular attendance, disobedience, or misconduct may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the rolls.

Rules of Discipline

Regularity, obedience, politeness, and cleanliness are essential qualities expected from all students. Pupils are responsible for their behavior both inside and outside the school premises.

Running, shouting, or playing inside the school building is not permitted. Students must walk in silence, in single file, keeping to the left while moving through corridors or changing classes.

Admission

Admission requires submission of an official birth certificate. Students coming from other schools must produce a valid leaving certificate.

Students from outside Maharashtra must submit a leaving certificate countersigned by the concerned Educational Authority.

Withdrawal

Withdrawal notice must be given before the 15th of the month. Fees for the following month will be charged if notice is delayed.

Leaving Certificate will be issued only after clearance of all dues.

Examinations & Reports

Unit tests, surprise tests, monthly tests, and semester examinations are conducted as per the school schedule. Payment of all dues is mandatory for appearing in examinations.

Malpractice, tampering with records, or misconduct during examinations will attract strict disciplinary action, including expulsion.

Fees

All school fees, including bus fees, must be paid in cash at the school. Fee receipts should be preserved for verification.

Library Rules

Library books must be returned within the stipulated time. Loss or damage of books must be compensated.

Rules of Promotion

Promotion is based on performance in semester examinations, internal assessments, and overall academic progress. Students must secure the minimum required marks to be eligible for promotion to the next standard.
